what we do

We create hands on Culinary, Creativity, and Wellness Workshops for adults and children.

EXPLORE WORKSHOPS

Welcome to The Pink Rhubarb, a boutique creativity school where the world of cooking integrates with a hands-on approach to learning. We specialize in designing workshops with our unique blend of culinary arts, crafts, gardening, and wellness and are committed to a learning-by-doing approach to creativity. Each workshop is specially designed to teach new skills in cooking, botanicals, and wellness and is for anyone who wants to discover how to incorporate artistic expression beyond the kitchen.

This is the beginning of our ninth year and we are as committed as ever to fostering a holistic approach to creativity. Our summer children’s workshops and year-round programming are very popular and we are excited to launch classes for adults this year too. We incorporate artistic expression beyond the kitchen. Our specialty is teaching how to prepare delicious meals with a wide range of culinary choices. From baking to building flavors to the timeless art of preserving we begin to discover new, healthy foods that complement positive lifestyle choices. That’s not to say we don’t bake and enjoy a good cake or pie too. However, we feel that learning to make our own food fosters independence and creativity and when we cook with quality ingredients it can make all the difference in helping to promote a healthy lifestyle.

Many of our programs outside of the kitchen encompass using the garden and we enjoy making natural inks, paints, dyes, and extracts, which teach how to transform natural plant ingredients and food scraps into beautiful materials for creating works of art. We focus on how we can best nourish our body and soul in our wellness-focused workshops including blending essential oils, soap making, mindfulness, and yoga all can help to restore and balance our busy lives. We hope you can join us for our in-person workshops for children and adults.

The pink rhubarb is a culinary journal that explores food, edible education, gardening and creativity for children and adults of all ages. My name is Jane Mossa and I am a food consultant, culinary arts graduate, chef, stylist and gardener who is passionate about the farm to table community, its lifestyle, products and makers.
