Get Well Soup

Healing soup for immune support.

Get Well Soup

4 quarts

Ingredients

4 quarts Chicken or Vegetable stock

3-4 tablespoons Olive Oil

1/4 Vidalia Onion, sliced

2 Garlic Cloves, minced

3 Carrots Sliced

3 tablespoons fresh Ginger, minced

1/4 cup Dulse Seaweed, thinly sliced

6 Sage leaves, whole

1 cup White Navy Beans

2-3 teaspoons Turmeric Powder

Salt and Pepper

1 1/2 cups cooked Quinoa

 

Instructions

Heat the Olive Oil in a large stock pot add the Onion, Garlic, Carrots and Ginger and sauté over medium heat until tender.

Pour in the Stock, then add the remaining ingredients.

Let simmer for 20 minutes. Season to taste.

Spoon some Quinoa into bowls and ladle the soup on top.

 

Notes

It is so important to nourish the body with healthy mineral rich and purifying foods. Dulse is a sea vegetable that is considered and super food . It is high in minerals, is a great detoxifier and flavor enhancer. Ginger, Garlic and Turmeric help support your immune system as well. It is your choice whether you prefer a Vegetable rich stock or Chicken stock, either way, there are so many complimentary flavors that make up this soup. It will make you feel better, even if you aren’t fighting a cold.
