Garden Design Services

Here at the Pink Rhubarb we have been designing, servicing and teaching schools and families how to garden for the past four years and would love to share what we love to do with you too. There is nothing more satisfying than growing your own food and preparing something amazing from it in the kitchen.

I have been cooking professionally and as a teacher since 1990, with age there is wisdom and passion and I absolutely love being in the kitchen and in the garden. It is always full of unexpected surprises that can become remarkable learning moments with so many opportunities to discover new ideas. I enjoy working with my hands and teaching both adults and children how they too can reap the benefits from life’s simple pleasures. I would like to help you either at your school or home to create the kind of garden you have always dreamed about. A place where you can spend some quiet time connecting with the outdoors, where you can watch food grow and discover first hand what the garden to table experience truly is. There are so many amazing benefits in supporting a home grown lifestyle and I want to share with you some of the gardens we have designed and maintained.

We can create any type of garden you are imagining from a simple container garden, a herb garden, vegetable garden, school garden or flower garden there are endless possibilities and choices to consider. Please take the time to fill out this FORM so I can better understand your objectives, budget and goals for your garden. After I have some general guidelines we then can set up a time to meet where I can then see your location and get an overall idea of how best to incorporate a new garden into your space.

This is a fun and exciting step toward creating a wonderful new outdoor space where we can grow and learn about gardening together. I am looking forward to helping you start this project and am excited to provide all of the designing tools you will need to organize your garden project. From finding the right solution to the endless layout options, I will offer innovative ideas to help create a beautiful garden with a variety of many different types of plants that work well together and I will also be available to consult with you or your school to grow the vegetables, flowers and plants you are hoping to, as well as find a strategic plan for maintaining your garden throughout the summer season and beyond.
