Crafting is most  fun when you don’t have to spend tons of money on supplies and can get right into the work without too many elements. The simpler the better attitude can provide for spontaneous projects which yield themselves to being more carefree and organic in shape and form. It is an interesting exercise, allowing your materials to dictate how individual object’s characteristics might look like. Watch as you allow your shapes and ideas to emerge.

Cardboard is everywhere and is an ideal material to make these small animals. The coloring is perfect as is, or is durable enough to paint on and firm enough to allow your small characters to stand upright on their own. Any animal can be made simply by breaking down the shapes and building out the layers. No more than six pieces are needed to make a fun and imaginable creature. Let your imagination run wild and maybe create your own species.
